A Little History
Mountain West Insurance Services, Inc. is the culmination of two individuals’ careers coming together to provide a better insurance agency primarily focused on insuring local and regional businesses.
Shane Phelps has worked in the insurance industry since 2001, working for both large and small firms helping clients to better protect their investments and provide exceptional value when it comes to their insurance and risk management needs. A highly respected specialist in the fields of construction, food processing, manufacturing and general business insurance, Shane brings a no-nonsense approach to helping clients meet their challenging and diverse needs.
Jason Tokarski is a graduate of Oregon State University and received an MBA from Willamette University in 1998. Since then he has worked in the real estate industry primarily as a real estate developer. Jason has successfully developed senior living, apartments, office buildings, retail centers and subdivisions and has a proven track record of success. A strong sense of community and giving back fuels his desire to continue developing successful projects.
Recognizing a need in the industry for a firm that could provide quality and cost-effective solutions for risk management and insurance, Shane and Jason pooled their considerable talents and partnered up to form Mountain West Insurance Services, Inc.
